Latillas
:
Comes from the Spanish word Lata, meaning stick. These 'sticks' are used as a traditional ceiling material in southwest architecture, laid between beams or 'vigas'. Traditional latilla sticks are usually hand-peeled from spruce or pine. Manufactured latilla panels are a more cost-effective method of achieving similar results.
